Central to Hindu life and practice is the respect and care for the natural world. Mother Earth, known in Sanskrit as Bhumi Devi sustains all life, and we are encouraged to lead lives in harmony with her.
Hindu Environment Week is an opportunity for Hindus across the world to show their appreciation for Bhumi Devi, whilst highlighting current major environment concerns, such as climate change.
Last year, more than 5,500 people participated. This year, Hindu Environment Week takes place between February 15 - 21st, 2015. We hope it will be bigger and better than before, and encourage you to join us!
